Join me for a moderately paced towpath hike on both sides of the Delaware River. Meet in the visitor center parking lot at Bulls Island NJ (access from NJ Rt. 29). We'll begin our 8-mile hike by crossing the pedestrian bridge to the PA side of the Delaware River, then hike south on the Delaware Canal towpath. At Centre Bridge we will cross the Delaware again into New Jersey to the village of Stockton. An optional lunch stop can be made in Stockton at Earth Served (formerly Cravings), The Stockton General Store or Stockton Market. Or you can bring your own lunch and enjoy eating outdoors. Dress in layered clothing appropriate for the weather. If it is icy traction devices might be helpful. Heavy snow or unsafe driving conditions on the morning of the hike will cancel, if uncertain please check the activity calendar at amcdv.org or contact leader at 610-844-7354 prior to 8 am.
