This 5.5 mile hike on the White Triangle trail, also known as Forest Path loop, wanders through wooded terrain in the Houghtons Pond section of the Blue Hills. The route is wide and relatively flat most of the way (elevation gain only 354 feet). The hiking surface varies from roots and rocks to gravel and hard packed dirt. Hiking speed 1.5-2 MPH. Dress in layers (no cotton) for winter conditions possibly requiring micro spikes or snowshoes. Bring a trail lunch/snack and water. Email trip leader to register. Leader will provide meeting instructions to registered participants 48 hours before the hike.
