Kick off the New Year and join us for a hike to the Osceolas, two NH 4000-footers, on Sunday, Jan 5! The hike will be about 7.6 miles roundtrip with 3,100 feet of elevation gain. The trail to East Osceola is quite steep in sections, as is "The Chimney" between East Osceola and Osceola. If the weather gods smile favorably upon us, we should have excellent views on the large open ledge at the top of Osceola. Expect to hike most of the day. We will hike at a moderate, steady pace with brief breaks. You should have recent and similar hiking experience. Start time, trailhead info, and additional details will be made available to confirmed participants. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
