Overview

Approximately 5 mile hike on the yellow and red trails. Hike out to Brown Hill Marsh and along Pine Acres Pond, including a stop at Governor's Island. The trail has some moderate up and down elevation changes but is relatively level in most places. Hiking boots and trekking poles are recommended with additional traction depending on the weather. Please bring water and snacks. Meet in the parking lot at 23 Potter Road at 9:45 to start hiking at 10:00. Potter Road is off of Route 6 in Hampton, CT. Follow sign for James Goodwin State Forest.
