Overview

Join us for 5 days of hiking and winter fun! Led by experienced AMC Instructors, this vacation week camp for students local to NH will provide an engaging atmosphere to learn outdoor skills and enjoy playing, learning and exploring the outdoors. Each day will be led by experienced AMC staff, trained in both education and outdoor guiding. All instructors are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. We will meet each day at the Pinkham Notch Visitor's Center, a cozy and welcoming home base for our week of winter adventures. Each day we will focus on a different outdoor skill while exploring the trails throughout Pinkham Notch. Students will learn the basics of trip planning, navigation, shelter building, fire building, and identifying animal tracks. Students will be provided with all necessary gear for our outdoor adventures, loaned from the Highland Center's LL Bean Gear Room. This program welcomes youth residing in Coos, Grafton and Carroll County, 5th to 7th grade. Students may be dropped off between 8 - 8:30 am and pick up is 4:00 pm. Lunch is not included, but snacks will be provided for all days of the program. This 5-day program is offered at a rate of $25 per student.
