Come show your love of Nordic cross-country skiing while interacting with the professionals at L.L. Bean on how to wax your waxless skis. The Nordic ski professionals will go over some of the reasons why we apply glide wax to waxless cross-country skis such as: •Enjoyment, face it cross-country skies that don't glide is too much work to ski on. •Maintenance, glide wax helps preserve the base on cross-country skis by keeping them moist, free from dirt and lubricated. • Safety, when snow sticks to cross-country skis it's not safe to ski on. In addition, you will learn how to clean your skis, sharpen your metal edges, preserve your fish scales, unfreeze frozen bindings and how to store them in the summer. Depending on interest, we may cover waxable skis techniques for Nordic and Skate Skis. If you're looking for a fun night out with your skis, I encourage you to register for this interactive hands-on workshop. Space is limited and registration is required.
