Overview

Join us for 5 days of hiking and outdoor fun! Led by experienced AMC Instructors, this vacation week day camp will provide an engaging atmosphere to learn about New Hampshire wildlife while enjoying playing and exploring the outdoors. Each day will be led by experienced AMC staff, trained in both education and outdoor guiding. All instructors are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. We will start every day at the Highland Center, a cozy and welcoming home base for our week of spring adventures. Each day we will focus on a different aspect of New Hampshire wildlife while exploring the trails throughout Crawford Notch. Students will learn about plants and animals in New Hampshire's forests and practice observing how they interact as winter thaws to spring. Students will be provided with all necessary gear for our outdoor adventures, loaned from the Highland Center's LL Bean Gear Room. This program welcomes youths residing in Coos, Grafton and Carroll County, enrolled in 5th to 7th grade. Students may be dropped off between 8 - 8:30 am and pick up is 4:00 pm. Lunch will not be provided, but snacks are included for all days of the program. This 5-day program is offered at a rate of $25 per student.
