Not this weekends, not next week. You would better start from the beginning of the year if you were considering to be more active in outdoors in 2025. This event is a social walk good for non-hikers as well as for the seasoned outdoor enthusiasts who partied hard on New Year's Eve. The outdoor enthusiasts can introduce the joy of being outdoors &/or share their outdoor journeys not limited to hiking. We will walk a minimum of 3.6 miles on a flat path except for a mild incline at the beginning of the walk. You can stay on the paved path if you wish. There might be wet and slippery or muddy places especially on the non-paved section. Meet at 11:00 AM by the bench at the Heritage Trail Parking. Carpooling recommended for the parking space is limited. We will walk to the Bala Staton and walk back. There will be two options during the walk. 1) In and out the Laurel Hill West Cemetery (easy incline) , which takes about 10-12 minutes. 2) Coffee or snack break at Manayunk (depends on the venue availability and group preference) after crossing the Manayunk Bridge. Bring water and snack. Dress in layers for the season. Sunglasses (optional) No dogs please. Snow, substantial rain, icy trail condition will cancel the event. Please check the AMCDV calendar after 8:00 AM. Light drizzle on the go. Note: Cynwyd Heritage Trail parking lot is located by the Belmont Avenue and Rock Hill Road cross section, which is by CVS.
