Lincoln NH Ice Trip January 10-12, 2025 Penguin Ski Club 41 Maple Street in Lincoln, NH Join us on our first AMC trip of 2025 for some ice climbing! This trip is an Ice Climbing Trip, priority for space will be given to those looking to ice climb. Those looking for lodging for other cool snow sport/activities (snowshoeing, winter hiking, skiing) will be contacted directly if space is available. Depending on the leader to second ratio and what the objective of the climbing leader(s), we will be either single-pitch, multi-pitch or top roping. Ice and weather conditions may affect the trip. You will be placed on the Waitlist until contacted. If there is an available leader that can be paired with you, you will be contacted. It would be to your benefit to already have a climbing partner lined up for this weekend. Lodging We will be staying at the Penguin Ski Club (address at the top) and you will need to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, and food. Continental Breakfast for Sat/Sun and Dinner on Saturday included, not all dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Lunch is on your own. Lodging Cost Cost for two nights lodging is $90.00. The breakfasts and dinner mentioned above are included in this price. Required Gear Warm waterproof clothing appropriate for spending all day outside during the winter (hard/soft shell pants, jacket, non-cotton based thermal base layers, insulated jackets/puffy for cold belays, wool socks, waterproof gloves, beanie under helmet) Technical Gear Helmet, harness, mountaineering boots, technical crampons, ice tools (bring them if you own, rent, or share with the group), Belay/rappel device (plaquette type) with HMS locking carabiner, 4-foot sling, Spare locking carabiners (2), headlamp, extra batteries, and rope if you have one. Gear that can be borrowed from the AMC is extremely limited, it is your responsibility to have the required gear for the trip. Trip Cancellation Policy Trip cancellation will be at the discretion of the trip leader. Refunds will be given at that point in time. Weather related cancellations will typically be decided 2-3 days prior to the trip. Participants always have the option of arranging their own lodging.
