Overview

With the crescent moon aglow, and 6 planets in the evening sky, (Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars easily visible) Join WMA AMC Outings and the Springfield Naturalist Club to behold the wonders of the winter sky at Noble View Outdoor Center on Russell Mountain. Through telescopes, we will examine craters on the moon, planets and wintertime constellations. Come enjoy a cocoa and campfire with other night sky enthusiasts. .Bundle up, wear warm layers, boots,hat and gloves and bring a headlamp or flashlight, folding chair and blanket. Extreme cold or overcast, snowy or rainy conditions will cancel this event.

Dawne serves as an AMC hike and family leader, and flatwater paddle leader, Chair of WMA Justice, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. (JDEI) and Adopt a Trail volunteer coordinator at Noble View Outdoor Center.
