Overview

Join us for the final Friday walk of 2024 along a lovely section of Boston's Emerald Necklace. We will walk along the Arborway to Jamaica Pond and onto Olmsted Park, returning to complete a short loop in the Arnold Arboretum. This is a 5.5 to 6 mile walk on mainly paved trails. Heavy rain or snow cancels. This walk can be joined using the MBTA orange line. Further details will be provided to those participants confirmed on the walk.

Judith is a keen hiker and loves to explore the trails in the MA state parks & reservations and town conservation areas. In 2020 she section-hiked the MA Mid State Trail and this year she is exploring the Bay Circuit Trail.

Elizabeth enjoys walking and hiking in numerous green spaces in Boston and neighboring states. She has hiked extensively in Utah's state and national parks as well as Baxter State Park in Maine.
