The George Lorimer Preserve, an 87-acre preserve located in Tredyffrin, near Malvern, PA, is largely flat (173 ft of elevation). But our easy, 2.5-mile loop hike on the well-groomed trail system will include meadows, a pond and a stream. We will walk on mowed grass and dirt trails; expect to see deer and hear the hoot of a local owl as we hike. If some hikers wish to add a mile or two, we can take a second loop around the preserve using other trails. Although the hike is almost entirely flat, you should wear sturdy hiking or walking shoes. If it has rained, the trails may be muddy. The hike is limited to 12 hikers, so we recommend registering on AMCDV Meetup. If you are an AMC member and cannot join the hike on Meetup, please email me separately. (Look for event listings from this page if you are not already in Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/Appalachian-Mountain-Club-Delaware-Valley-Chapter/ ). If you commit to the hike, but your plans change, please update your RSVP to "No" so other hikers may take your spot. Please pass on the trip if you aren't feeling well.
