Overview

We will loop around the pond and then hike along the power lines through the woods...under 4 miles. We may see lingering waterfowl if the pond is not frozen or maybe a red-shouldered hawk. Directions: From Rte. 10 north in Simsbury, turn left on West St (Rte. 167) then right onto Firetown Rd. Bear left onto Great Pond Rd. Turn right into Great Pond driveway to parking lot. Meet at 10 am. Poor driving or trail conditions will cancel.
