Bring snack/water, sturdy footwear, wear layers, a hat, mittens. Meet by the Washington Street entrance of Abbot Hall between Marblehead Center and Old Town. (Plenty of free parking on side streets.) Public transportation--commuter rail from North Station to Lynn then 441/442 bus to Pleasant Street/Washington Street in Old Town then walk down Washington Street for 1/4 mile to Abbot Hall; or Blue Line to Wonderland, then 441/442 bus to Old Town.
