Overview

Join us in a winter adventure in two of our country's best national parks. Our visit will coincide with low levels of tourist, moderate temperatures and wide range of possible activities. Depending upon trail conditions we plan on doing cross country skiing and snowshoeing in Bryce Canyon NP and hiking in Zion NP. Zion National Park encompasses some of the most scenic canyon country in the United States. Within its 229 square miles are high plateaus, a maze of narrow, deep, sandstone canyons, and the Virgin River and its tributaries. Zion also has 2,000-foot Navajo Sandstone cliffs, pine- and juniper-clad slopes, and seeps, springs, and waterfalls supporting lush and colorful hanging gardens. Follow the paths where ancient native people and pioneers walked. Gaze up at massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink, and red that soar into a brilliant blue sky. Experience wilderness in a narrow slot canyon. Zion's unique array of plants and animals will enchant you as you absorb the rich history of the past and enjoy the excitement of present day adventures. There is no place like Bryce Canyon. Hoodoos (odd-shaped pillars of rock left standing from the forces of erosion) can be found on every continent, but here is the largest collection of hoodoos in the world! The park's road leads past the expansive Bryce Amphitheater, a hoodoo-filled depression lying below the Rim Trail hiking path. It has overlooks at Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point. The hoodoos are especially breathtaking when covered with a dusting of snow and sparkling in the sun!! Come and experience it with us! We will fly in/out of Las Vegas where our 7 passenger vans will be waiting for us at the airport. Then we will drive to Bryce Canyon and stay in 3 star local hotels just outside of each park in double occupancy rooms and have breakfast included each morning. We will drive into the parks each day to enjoy their many splendors. Depending upon trail conditions we will either ski, snowshoe or hike among the fantastic scenery in uncrowded conditions!
